After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we'll embark on a temple exploration adventure. We will enter the last capital of the Khmer empire through the Southern Gate, which features giant carvings of gods and demons flanking each side of the entrance. Inside this magnificent city, we'll explore the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, Elephant Terrace, and Terrace of Leper King. We'll take a moment to appreciate the tranquil beauty of stone face carvings at the Bayon and admire temple walls covered in emerald-green moss intertwined with roots, which many consider the most charming of all - Ta Prohm.
For lunch, we'll indulge in a Khmer-style feast at a local restaurant near Sras Srang, the Royal Pool of Ablutions, originally reserved for the king and his consorts. Afterward, you can either take a nap in a hammock or explore the traditional way of life and say hello to the friendly locals nearby.
In the afternoon, we'll continue our exploration by visiting the magnificent Angkor Wat, an architectural and artistic masterpiece of the mighty Khmer Empire. As the sun sets over Phnom Bakheng or Pre Rup, the temple will be painted in a beautiful orange hue.
This evening, we'll stroll along the lively pub street where you can find many bars for a cool drink or shop at the Angkor Night Market. We'll cap off this brilliant day with a buffet local dinner accompanied by a Cambodian Cultural Performance, including the spectacular Apsara Show.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we'll drive 45 km to the north of Siem Reap to Kbal Spean, also known as "The head of the bridge" or "The River of a Thousand Lingas." We'll trek up to the hill for approximately 2 hours (1.5 km) to explore the site's series of stone carvings in sandstone formations carved in the river bed and banks. This incredible location is commonly known as the "Valley of a 1000 Lingas" due to the myriads of lingams (phallic symbol of the Hindu god Shiva) arranged neatly on the surface of the sandstone bedrock, along with lingam-yoni designs. Kbal Spean is described as a "spectacularly carved riverbed set deep in the jungle to the northeast of Angkor."
The river over which the bridgehead exists is called Stung Kbal Spean, a tributary of the Siem Reap River that rises in the Kulen mountains north of Banteay Srei. The river bed cuts through sandstone formations, and many architectural sculptures of Hindu mythology have been masterfully carved within the sandstone.
We'll then drive down and visit the famous Banteay Srei, also known as the Citadel of Women. On the way back to Siem Reap, we'll make a stop at Pradark Village, where you'll get to witness villagers making palm sugar and handicrafts for sale to tourists. It's a fantastic opportunity to see the daily struggles of local people living in the countryside.

This captivating farm/workshop offers visitors a chance to see the entire silk creation process, from growing the food for the silk worms, breeding the worms, silk extraction and refinement, traditional kit dying pattern creation, looming, and retail silk and souvenir shopping.
On the way back, we'll visit the Western Baray (Baray Occidental), measuring 8 km by 2.3 km, which provided water for the intensive cultivation of lands around Angkor.
